Control was a computer controlling Platform One. It could "speak" to the Steward by producing a beeping sound from the speaker in his office. It could activate recorded messages over the PA system at will. Control did whatever the Steward told it to do, but when Cassandra O'Brien.Δ17's Metal spiders overrode the system, Control deactivated the shields. However, the Ninth Doctor reactivated Control's common sense and it returned the shields. Control controlled Platform One after that. (TV: The End of the World)
