Renk Van Magnastein was a bar man who served Bernice Summerfield. He helped her to avoid some faculty robots. He had the Seventh Doctor on his wall. He was questioned by Inquisitor Xavier after Benny stole his hover car. She later asked to borrow his ship, and he took her to another part of the planet. He was knocked unconscious.
