Character Options classic series action figures

In 2008 Character Options began releasing action figures of characters from the classic Doctor Who series. The initial assortment contained three former incarnations of the doctor and a number of creatures and robots with a focus on the Tom Baker era. Another new feture of this line is the inclusion of parts of a build a figure in each toy. The line has continued with the release of a classic style Dalek set, Cybermen and some two packs.

Classic Series Action Figures Set 1

• Set One contains 8 X 5" figures; the Fourth Doctor, the Fifth Doctor, the Sixth Doctor, Robot D84, Robot SV7, Zygon, Sea Devil and a combined pack of Magnus Greel and Mr. Sin.
• Each release in this series included a build-it component to make Robot K1.

The Fourth Doctor

• Unusally this figure lacks the inclusion of a stick of celery on the Doctor's lapel, a minor point in the otherwise very high quality of the whole output from Character Options, but worth a mention. (Not as worthy as some of Dapol's 'classics'!)
• Each release in this series included a build-it component to make Robot K1.

The Sixth Doctor

• Availability of this figure was an issue. Shops received a mixed consignment of 12 figures from this series. Some figures, like the Fourth and Fifth Doctor were packaged 2 to a box - the Sixth Doctor was not one of them!
• A revised version of the Sixth Doctor (in blue attire as seen in the Webcast, Real Time was released in 2009.
