For other uses of Grey, see separate entry.

Jane Grey was queen in England for nine days in 1553. The Doctor witnessed her execution. (VD: The Nine-Day Queen) She was the successor of Edward VI, and predecessor of Mary I. She was the first and to date only monarch, discounting Oliver Cromwell, who was not of William the Conquerors bloodline (the royal family.)
