Continuity
- This story subtly begins a running gag of trying to get Amy and Rory to Majorca, Spain.
- Gentleman makes good on the Eleventh Doctor's ambition to take Amy and Rory to The Great Exhibition. He had tried before in COMIC: The Eagle of the Reich, but had missed the year. This story therefore contains Amy and Rory's second visit to the Crystal Palace.
- Set mainly in and around the Crystal Palace of The Great Exhibition of 1851, the Doctor mentions he has to avoid running into himself. This is a reference to AUDIO: Other Lives, where the Eighth Doctor visited the exhibition, as well as unknown visits implied by the Fifth Doctor's enthusiasm in TV: Time-Flight.
- A mummy is on display in the Crystal Palace. The Doctor checks to see if it is deactivated. (TV: Pyramids of Mars)
- The Hypothetical Gentleman shows Emily images of Sontarans, a peg doll, a Zygon, a Kroton, a Headless monk, a Silent, a Weeping Angel and a Krynoid.
