Inspired by the fictional character, the Dracula robot was created as part of the House of Horrors attraction of the Festival of Ghana in 1996.

Profile

Along with Frankenstein's Monster and the Grey Lady, it "haunted" the House. When Daleks in pursuit of the Doctor's TARDIS fired upon it, like Frankenstein's Monster, it attacked them. (DW: The Chase)

The android's manufacturers, Microsoft would later answer inquiries that they had constructed overly dangerous hardware. (EDA: Interference)

Behind the Scenes

The historical Dracula and actual vampires also exist in the Doctor Who Universe. Dracula the fictional character has a separate existence.
