Welcome to the Tardis:About SniperKing1

Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:
~ ~ ~ ~

Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask on my talk page. Revanvolatrelundar 18:36, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

Discontinuity index

Hi! Please note that per Tardis:Vandalism policy, users are not to remove discussion/talk posts made by others, as you did at Theory:Doctor Who television discontinuity and plot holes/Army of Ghosts. In the discontinuity section, if you want to refute a point, do so on the page following the instructions. Do not delete others' posts. Thanks. Shambala108 21:20, July 14, 2014 (UTC)

Re:Void ship question

Sorry, I don't know the answers to your questions. However, I suggest you take your questions to Board:The Reference Desk so the entire wiki can see it. Maybe someone else knows the answers. Shambala108 20:55, July 24, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Cybermen questions

Hi! It's been a while since I've seen the episodes in question, so I posted your questions at the The Reference Desk. You can check out Thread:162026 from time to time to see if anyone answered your questions. Alternatively, you could ask the questions at Howling:The Howling, but be warned that spoilers are allowed on the Howling, so if you're trying to avoid spoilers, be careful posting on the Howling. Thanks. Shambala108 22:41, September 25, 2014 (UTC)

Valid sources

Hi! Please note that we do not allow reference books as sources for our in-universe articles. It might be helpful for you to read Tardis:Valid sources and Tardis:In-universe perspective. Thanks. Shambala108 15:34, November 7, 2014 (UTC)

Re: image requests

Hi! Regarding your image request, if you take a look at Tardis:Image use policy, you will see the guidelines for image size. In general, images are only viewed at 250px, so 800px is usually the maximum width allowed, and all screenshots should be widescreen. So I"m not sure if the size you requested would work.

As for the information you added, it's generally better if you only add information from stories you are familiar with, that is, you actually have watched the TV stories or read the comics or novels, etc. Relying on information from others, especially the internet, can cause errors. We recently had someone claim on The Daleks' Master Plan that the First Doctor had a stetson shot off his head — something that this user had no knowledge of, but had simply read it on the internet. If your friend can provide the source for the information you added, it can be placed on the page, as long as the source satisfies Tardis:Valid sources. However, if it comes from a reference book, then it could only be placed in a behind-the-scenes section.

Hope this helps. Shambala108 05:26, January 24, 2015 (UTC)

Re: uncredited cast

Hi! If you want to put uncredited cast on a story page, you do so by posting the following:

=== Uncredited cast ===

under the cast section. Note that I used three equals signs - it must be a subheading of the cast section. Any uncredited cast you list must be sourced. See The Family of Blood (TV story) for an example of the proper way to cite uncredited cast on story pages.

I know there's a forum post that deals with this, but it might take me a while to find it. I'll post it here when I do find it in case you're interested in reading more details. Shambala108 03:31, April 28, 2015 (UTC)

Also, when replying to another user, it's common practice to reply to other users on their own talk pages. If you reply on your own talk page, the other user might not see your message. Thanks! Shambala108 02:30, April 29, 2015 (UTC)
