Drake Ayelbourne was, at some point in the future, the richest man in the universe. He kept himself alive using elite time technology, and when the Ninth Doctor and Rose arrived at his monument, he captured Rose and intended to keep her as his own.

He revealed that his monument was not a tribute to his ego, but to his deceased wife, Eleanora. But when the Doctor arrived to collect Rose, Drake reverted to his true form and blew up the building, killing himself. (COMIC: Mystery Date)
