* Like I said to you before, don't try to make jokes directed at other people. It is very hard to interpret tone when it's just text. That's one of the main reasons I blocked you: because I've told you before it's not a good idea to joke about other users. | * Like I said to you before, don't try to make jokes directed at other people. Why would I commit a personal attack knowing that I'm going to get blocked from something I love? I was merely praising someone, I don't know if things are different where I live but that want me being nasty. Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!
We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:
- the listing of all our help, policy and guideline pages
- our Manual of Style
- our image use policy
- our user page policy
- a list of people whose job it is to help you
If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! — you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:
Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask on my talk page. CzechOut ☎ 23:05, March 8, 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads up
Thanks for the heads up on The Lost, by the way. I didn't say. That was a brilliant episode. I did have the Weeping Angels appearance spoiled, but I guess that's an occupational hazard.

Animation years
I do know what you're getting at. It's new material. But it's not a new story, and that story was originally released in the 60s. I suppose if we ever got "Merchandise by year of release" categories, those could perhaps be put in them, as the first year in which this new version was released. I'll let you know if I think of any other solutions.

Block
Hi! Please note that you have been blocked for a week for violating Tardis:No personal attacks at Thread:183627. Please read carefully the following points:
- The comment you made has been removed from the forum.
- We don't tolerate any personal attacks, but I am especially strict when it comes to the forums. We have a lot of new users visit these forums, and I don't want them to think it's ok to insult others.
- Lest you think that what you said isn't an attack, let me be clear: It is never OK to criticize someone just because they disagree with you. Your statement "someone finally has some sense" (paraphrasing) basically said to everyone else on the thread that we don't have sense because we don't agree with you. That's the very definition of a personal attack.
- Please note that I am being very generous in blocking you for only a week, based on your editing history here. I know you didn't mean to insult everyone, but there has to be some kind of consequence for violating one of the most important rules on the wiki. Most blocks for violating Tardis:No personal attacks are on the order of months, or are even permanent.
- Like I said to you before, don't try to make jokes directed at other people. It is very hard to interpret tone when it's just text. That's one of the main reasons I blocked you: because I've told you before it's not a good idea to joke about other users.
