Members of UNIT sang "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow", led by John Benton, to congratulate Clifford Jones and Jo Grant on their wedding engagement. They quickly changed their wording to "for they are folly good fellows", singing an alternate rendition:
- For they are jolly good fellows, for they are jolly good fellows
- For they are jolly good fellows, and so say all of us. (TV: The Green Death)
The Eleventh Doctor later gave an impromptu and slightly inaccurate rendition of "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" on Christmas Eve outside Maisie Johnson's house. (PROSE: The Gift)
