Hieronymus Bosch was a painter of the 16th century.
Giuseppe di Cattivo's works were often compared to his more famous contemporary Hieronymus Bosch. (TV: Mona Lisa's Revenge)
When the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown visited Reverend Foxwell they brought him an exhibit. Foxwell told them that he thought it was made from papier mâché and look like a church gargoyle that was made by Hieronymus Bosch. Peri replied that Simon made it and called it a sand creature.
