The North Sea was a small sea on Earth located between Great Britain and Scandinavia.

In 1996, a Jathaa sunglider was shot down by Torchwood 1 over the sea. (DW: Army of Ghosts) Ten years later, in 2006, the Slitheen family hid their spaceship in the North Sea and sent it to London as part of their plan to destroy Earth. At the same time the nuclear submarine HMS Taurean was submerged in the North Sea, off the coast of Plymouth. (DW: Aliens of London / World War Three)
