Private Hawkins was a UNIT soldier who served under Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart during the Nestene's first attempted invasion of Earth.
He was detailed to Captain Jimmy Munro's expedition to find crashed meteors in Oxley Woods. A discovered piece of one meteor was delivered to Munro at Ashbridge Cottage Hospital, where Hawkins stood guard over it. After the Brigadier and Munro examined it, Munro instructed Hawkins to carry it to the Brigadier's car. (TV: Spearhead from Space)
