President Bernice Summerfield was a clone of the real Bernice Summerfield who became President of Earth.
She was created as part of a plot to take over the Earth government and was sent to kill the real Bernice, but thanks to Bernice herself and Kadiatu Lethbridge-Stewart she was able to overcome her programming and gain independence.
