Chapadios were a race of aliens, notable for their nine tentacles. During the first year of his reign, General Yolaktorin slaughtered a majority of them, before eventually being toppled by the Doctor.
One member of the race became a make up girl on Slist Fayflut Marteveerthon Slitheen's talk show, and concocted a plan to get revenge for her people. She insisted that Slist get the Doctor and General Yolaktorin on the show together to bury the hatchet. After applying the Ninth Doctor's foundation, she soon after did make up for Yolaktorin, using substances that would burn his skin under the lights of the set.
