Tenniel Evans played Major Daly in the Doctor Who story Carnival of Monsters.
Outside of Doctor Who, he was probably best known for his sitcom work. This included playing ship's lookout Taffy Goldstein in the long-running BBC radio comedy series The Navy Lark, which also starred Jon Pertwee. When Patrick Troughton died, Evans took over his role in the ITV sitcom The Two of Us.
