Customers would win a pie if they correctly guessed the results of a coin toss, but the [[Twelfth Doctor]] realised he was cheating to swindle customers out of their money and so he and [[Bill Potts]] were thrown out of his shop, but not before the Doctor managed to steal a pie of his without him noticing.  
During a visit to the country fair, Lisa entered a place setting competition. Despite trying her best, she ended up losing after her entry was wrecked by the [[Rich Texan]]. This made Homer angry, so he decided to teach the Texan a lesson. However, Homer quickly recalled that he had been previously warned by the police that he'd go to jail if he committed another assault, so he used a quilt as a cape and an empty pie tin with eye and mouth holes cut out for a disguise to avoid recognition and then hit the Rich Texan with a pie to humiliate him.  


From that point on, he smashed pies in wrongdoers' faces as 'Pie Man'. [[Chief Wiggum]] wanted to kill him, and when he shot him, Lisa discovered Pie Man was actually Homer. Later, [[Mr. Burns]] discovered it too and told Homer to smash pies on people he hates, otherwise Burns would reveal his identity to the police. During a visit of the [[Dalai Lama]], Homer revealed himself, but nobody believed him, except [[Marge]]. [[Bart]] later acted as his sidekick, "[[Cupcake Kid]]".

Customers would win a pie if they correctly guessed the results of a coin toss, but the Twelfth Doctor realised he was cheating to swindle customers out of their money and so he and Bill Potts were thrown out of his shop, but not before the Doctor managed to steal a pie of his without him noticing.

He later gave the Doctor the location of the dredgers where workers were extracting the excrement of the creature trapped under the River Thames. (TV: Thin Ice)
