The Beshielach were a race of sentient planetesimals engineered by the Great Houses in the early stages of the War in Heaven. Because they were designed by the Houses, they had a literally genetic grasp on history, but despite being intended as weapons, they proved much better at diplomacy. The most significant hive of Beshielach was the Autrobulus hive, which negotiated the surrender of native authorities who had been largely co-opted by the enemy. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
