Dawkins on a news broadcast. (TV: The Stolen Earth)

Richard Dawkins was a British scientist.

In 1997, he and his wife were among the celebrities observing the Mars 97 mission at the National Space Museum. (PROSE: The Dying Days)

In 2003, the Sixth Doctor expected Richard Dawkins to be among the "greats" of science present at the centenary of the National Foundation for Scientific Research in Berkshire. (AUDIO: Catch-1782)

In 2009, when Earth was taken to the Medusa Cascade by the Daleks, Dawkins appeared on television to discuss the phenomenon. He pointed out that, as could be seen from the new constellations visible, the Earth had indeed travelled. (TV: The Stolen Earth)

After his death and resurrection in the City of the Saved, Richard believed that the City's existence disproved the idea of Heaven. Professor Vril disagreed, saying, "If he met a lunatic claiming to be Napoleon, he’d say it proved there’d never been a real one." Richard and his charming wife attended Allisheer St Marx's masked ball on View Point in AF 291. (PROSE: Unification Theory)

Alternate timeline

In 1996, Aunt Sharon said to Amy Pond that she didn't trust "that Richard Dawkins". (TV: The Big Bang)
