Gaslighting was an abuse tactic wherein the abuser convinced their victim not to trust their own mind or senses, deceiving them into believing something which was not real. According to River Song, Madame Kovarian gaslighted all the proto-Time Lords she created, including Melody Pond herself. (AUDIO: The Furies)
