A mysterious little girl (or young girl) was a psychic, apparently ageless Tarot card reader. Her name, true nature and the source of her abilities are unknown.

Circa 1897, she approached Jack Harkness in Cardiff to ask to foretell the future for him. She told him that he would see two new centuries with Torchwood 3 before once more meeting the Doctor. (TW: Fragments; referencing DW: Utopia) In c.2008-09, Jack sought her out for advice on locating the second resurrection gauntlet. Despite the passage of more than 110 years, the girl appeared to have not aged. (TW: Dead Man Walking) For reasons as yet unknown, one of the cards in her tarot pack was an image of Jack Harkness.

The girl informed Jack that in return for her aid in finding the glove she would one day ask a favour of him. She has yet to call the favour and Jack has now fled earth in grief over the 456 event it is unkown if the favour can ever be called in. But considering the fact a fourth season has been comished it is entierly possible the Girl will apear again, but the chance is slim consedring certain plot holes that need filing.

It is hinted that this girl may actually be Faith, the previous victim of the ressurection gauntlet who battled Death to a standstill. This is supported by her knowledge of the glove and her apparent agelessness. Though she appears Human, her true nature remains unknown. Jack's encounter with her as he sought the gauntlet suggests an ongoing relationship with the girl beyond the two encounters thus far chronicled. The character does not appear in the third season of Torchwood.
