A multi-Master story is a story featuring two or more different incarnations of the Master. There are several different ways a "multi-Master story" can be defined; here, stories are sorted according to several different definitions. This list includes stories with flashbacks, but excludes stories featuring only pictures or archive footage of other incarnations.
Direct encounters
In these stories, multiple incarnations of the Master encounter each other directly, either in person, through a screen, through a phone, through a psychic link, etc. Italicisation means that the relevant Master did not directly encounter another Master in the story.

Separate narratives
In these stories, multiple incarnations of the Master appear in the same story, but at least one does not encounter other incarnation(s) as they are in separate times and/or places. This including flashbacks and audio/video recordings of a separate incarnation.

Footnotes
- ↑ Koschei (Inferno Earth)
- ↑ The Master (Sympathy for the Devil)
- ↑ Geoffrey Beevers's decayed incarnation of the Master merges with the body of Tremas to become a new Master. Though unconventional, some sources nevertheless term this a "regeneration".
- ↑ Gordon Tipple's ambiguous incarnation of the Master is killed and his essence steals a human's body.
- ↑ Alternate Master regenerates into his next incarnation.
- ↑ After being reverted to the decayed Geoffrey Beevers version by the Time Lords following The Five Doctors, the Master steals enough regeneration energy from the Fifth Doctor to turn himself into Anthony Ainley's Master for the second time.
- ↑ A "child version" of the Master regenerates into Jacobi's incarnation.
- ↑ John Simm's Master is killed and sent on his way to regenerate, with both him and Missy believing he is about to regenerate into Missy, but the regeneration is not completed on-screen, preserving a measure of ambiguity.
