October Revolution[[edit source]]

Thin Ice dates the October Revolution to 7 November 1917 in the Gregorian calendar, so if the link is made clear in The Clockwise Man, you could use that audio story as a source for the timing.

Thanks for the tip. Here is how I think about it. In the real universe Alex was killed in July 1918. In the novel, the details are scarce. It's just snippets of memories. And the revolution was a lengthy affair. I usually make such links based on fuzzy data when it affords me dating matching the real universe. However, if such an imprecise dating creates a mismatch, I prefer not to follow the hint unless the timestamp is definitive. There was a case with River Song's first story of the Diary, where the dating is off by a year compared to the real universe, and I followed it, but there was a specific event referenced, the discovery of the King Tut's tomb. Here, the referenced event is the Revolution, which may refer to anything from February 1917 until, in principle, the end of the Civil War in Russia around 1920. Rename[[edit source]]

Reason for proposed rename is AUDIO: Last of the Romanovs confirms his full first name is Alexei. Toqgers 05:11, March 22, 2020 (UTC)
