Gugu Mbatha-Raw (born 21 April 1983[1]) played Tish Jones in Smith and Jones, The Lazarus Experiment, The Sound of Drums and Last of the Time Lords.
In addition to Doctor Who, Mbatha-Raw appeared in Spooks.
In September 2010, Mbatha-Raw became one of the few Doctor Who regulars to land a starring role in an American network TV series as the top-billed lead of the romantic spy-couple action series, Undercovers, created by J.J. Abrams, which debuted on NBC on 22 September 2010.
Most recently, she starred in The Morning Show as Hannah and Laura in the movie Motherless Brooklyn.
