Jenny was one of the cleaning staff at Farringham School for Boys in 1913. She became good friends with Martha Jones, who became a maid to look after the Tenth Doctor, who had gone into hiding as a human. Jenny was one of the few that treated Martha in a friendly and equal way and found her modern attitude, or "notions", amusing.
