Another storyline was the Doctor having to deal with the emotional aftermath of losing Rose, and the impact this has on Martha as the Doctor's companion. The adventures in this series take the Doctor to Chiswick, and having to save the fiesty bride from the Empress of the Racnoss. Then he goes undercover in a hospital, where he meets the brilliant Martha Jones, and saves the Royal Hope Hospital from the Judoon. Then the duo find trouble in 1599, where witches are at work. They return to New New York, where they find that the entire city has become a trap. Then in 1930, they have to deal with Daleks and Pig Slaves alike. Next, having to deal with the Dalek Sec Hybrid and his army of human Daleks. Then, Martha returns home to fight off the evil Lazarus. The Sun is angry, as the Doctor and Martha try to save the remaining members of a cargo ship from the burning sun. Scarecrows haunt the streets of 1913 in our heroes next adventure. Then, the Family of Blood try to capture the Timelord for their own, with Martha as protecter. Martha and the Doctor get trapped in 1969, where the Weeping Angels wait. Jack's Back! as the trio get trapped at the end of the universe. The Master has become Prime Minister of Great Britain, in the next adventure. Finally, the world is enslaved by the Master, and only Martha Jones can stop him.

Series 3 of Doctor Who (sometimes called Season 29) ran between March 2007 and July 2007 and starred David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and introduced Freema Agyeman as his companion Martha Jones. Catherine Tate appeared as Donna Noble in the 2006 Christmas special, The Runaway Bride, which was filmed as part of the Series 3 block and featured on the Series 3 DVD. Despite this, The Runaway Bride is a special episode and not considered to be a part of Series 3 by the Episode Guide on the official website.
