Gern was a CyberMondan and one of the four Cyber-Leaders who led the invasion of Earth.

Answering to the Cyber-Controller on Mondas, Gern seized control of International Space Command HQ in Geneva, declaring himself Controller of Earth. Soon after, however, Gern and all the other Cybermen around the world were eliminated when their home planet and power source, Mondas, disintegrated.
