A citizen of Victorian London, Georgina Marlow's husband Edward disappeared in 1850. She initially met the Eighth Doctor at the Great Exhibition in 1851, when she was looking for her youngest son.
She later had the Doctor released from prison, claiming that he was her missing husband. In truth, Georgina was due to be made homeless, and wanted the Doctor to pose as her husband, since they looked and sounded exactly alike. This would help prevent her missing husband's uncle Rufus Dimplesqueeze from reclaiming the house he had bequeathed to his nephew if Edward didn't show up a year after his disappearance. The real Edward was reunited with Georgina after the Doctor's TARDIS had departed. (AUDIO: Other Lives)
