Emily Cook started working as an editorial assistant on Doctor Who Magazine in 2015, initially alongside Mark Wright, beginning with issue 491.
During her time on the magazine she became one of the main interviewers, chatting to many of the show's stars, she made the interview feature Out of the TARDIS Tin a particular success.
In 2020, Cook organised the Who at Home or Doctor Who: Lockdown! event during the outbreak of COVID-19, which kept many people around the world in their homes. As part of this event, she also produced several original stories.
