House Lineacrux was an Oldblood House on the Homeworld, and often considered one of the more archetypical Houses: a producer of old, ponderous men, obsessed with the rules of non-intervention and the Protocols of the Great Houses. (PROSE: The Book of the War) However, they produced at least one renegade, the Lady Cortalianesquertal vel-Lineacrux. (PROSE: Going Once, Going Twice)

The House was responsible for crypto-forming the Nine Homeworlds, perhaps creating the prominent status it seems to hold during the War in Heaven. (PROSE: The Book of the War)

They wore yellow-gold robes (PROSE: The Brakespeare Voyage) like the Time Lords who sent the Second Doctor and Jamie to investigate Space Station J7. (PROSE: The Two Doctors)
