Vrestin was the leader of the Menoptera expedition tasked with clearing the way for the Menoptera spearhead to free Vortis from the Animus.
Accounts conflicted on whether they were male (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Zarbi) or female. At any rate, wen Hrhoonda was killed and Hrostar captured, Vrestin fled and met Ian Chesterton, whom Vrestin became friends with. Vrestin and Ian fell underground and met the Optera.
