Orbital are a British electronica group.
In 1999, they recorded a rendition of the Doctor Who theme which was used for BBC Two's Doctor Who Night. The theme had previously appeared in Orbital's live performances, and the studio rendition was later released on their 2001 album The Altogether, entitled "Doctor?".
In 2003, BBC DVD included Orbital's version of theme on their DVD releases of that year as part of a video montage to celebrate Doctor Who's 40th anniversary.
In 2007, CBBC used Orbital's version of theme on trailers for The Infinite Quest.
Orbital performed the Doctor Who theme with Matt Smith at Glastonbury Festival in 2010, and with the Radiophonic Workshop at Bluedot Festival in 2017.
