An ident between 13 November 1999 and 19 November 2001 is used on BBC Two for the re-broadcast of Doctor Who stories. The ident was brought back on BBC Two Northern Ireland in August 2014 for the channel's 50th anniversary, then it was carried out into the January 2015 refresh. The ident was then retired in September 2018 prior to the channel's rebrand at the time.

BBC Two — styled BBC2 and BBC-2 until 1997 — is the British Broadcasting Corporation's second channel, and was launched on 20 April 1964. A number of Doctor Who serials were re-broadcast upon the channel. For example, after restoration and its VHS release, Doctor Who and the Silurians was aired.

The second series of Torchwood and its accompanying Torchwood Declassified was also broadcast upon it; the channel had earlier aired reruns of first series following their premiere on BBC Three. Later, repeats of the fourth series, Miracle Day, were aired on BBC Two following their premiere on BBC One.

It also broadcast the BBC Choice ident.

Episodes of the BBC Wales series would occasionally be broadcast on the channel a few days after their BBC One premiere, during the early hours.
