Joan Sims (9 May 1930[1]-27 June 2001[2]) played Katryca in the Doctor Who television story The Mysterious Planet.

Outside of Doctor Who, she is known for her roles in the Carry On films, alongside Bernard Bresslaw, Barbara Windsor and Peter Butterworth.
