2016 was largely dominated by the production of series 10 of Doctor Who, and series 1 of Class.
Known key events were:
- 24 March - Recording for Damascus and Gardeners' Worlds took place at The Moat Studios.
- 4 April - For Tonight We Might Die began filming.
- 14 June - The readthrough of The Pilot took place.
- 20 June - Filming on The Pilot and Smile began.
- 18 July - The readthrough of Knock Knock took place.
- 28 July - Filming on The Pilot and Smile wrapped.
- September - The Return of Doctor Mysterio was filmed.
- 1 August - Thin Ice and Knock Knock started filming.
- 2 September - The Lost wrapped filming.
- 12 October - The readthrough of Oxygen took place.
- 23 November - Filming on Extremis began.
Filming on the fifth production block, which included the Extremis two-parter, took a break for the holidays in December, and continued into 2017, followed by the next two blocks and the 2017 Christmas special.
