• 6-7 June - The Big Finish audio story The Curse of Davros was recorded at the Moat Studios.
• 7 June - The BBC announced that they had commissioned a 2011 Christmas special, as well as a seventh series, with Matt Smith remaining in the role of the Eleventh Doctor. Piers Wenger, however, would step down as executive producer and leave the BBC altogether.
• 9 June - The Big Finish audio story The Sands of Life was recorded at the Moat Studio and Audio Sorcery.

• 3 December - Big Finish's Bernice Summerfield audio story Many Happy Returns was recorded at the Moat Studios. The cast and crew gave their time for free, with proceeds from the story going to the charity Invest in M.E. Research.
• 4-5 December - The third series of Big Finish's Doctor Who spin-off Iris Wildthyme was recorded at the Moat Studios.
• 11 December - The BBC announced the discovery of two missing Doctor Who episodes: episode 3 of Galaxy 4 and episode 2 of The Underwater Menace.
