A Weeping Angel was present in Medderton in 1967 around the outer reaches of the village in what had been arranged by the Angels to be a Quantum Extraction point.
When village folk Gerald and Jean went out looking for Peggy, who had gone missing, they encountered this Angel. Thinking it was a prank, went to pick it up, figuring it wasn't that heavy and got sent back to 1901. As Jean looked on in terror, she turned her back to it, looking at the empty space behind her, causing the Angel to attack her and send her the same way.
It was later met by Miss Hayward, whom it gave a sinister smile. (TV: Village of the Angels)
