Ben Wainwright (1897-1962) was the father of Sally Wainwright and her two elder brothers, the husband of Kathy Nightingale, the brother-in-law of Larry Nightingale and the paternal grandfather of Malcolm Wainwright.
When Kathy was sent back in time from London in 2007 to Hull on 5 December 1920, by the Weeping Angels, she arrived next to Ben with no idea what had happened. She and Ben later married and a daughter named Sally after Kathy's best friend Sally Sparrow. Ben died due to influenza in 1962. On 7 February 1987, Kathy wrote in her letter, which was delivered to Sally by their grandson Malcolm in 2007, that she would have liked Ben. (TV: Blink)
