Richard Briers, CBE (14 January 1934-17 February 2013[1]) played the Chief Caretaker in the Doctor Who television story Paradise Towers and Henry Parker in the Torchwood story A Day in the Death.

He also contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who and shared his memories of Paradise Towers on the documentary Horror on the High Rise.

Career

He is best known for playing Tom Good in the BBC television series The Good Life.

Personal Life

He was married to The Dalek Invasion of Earth guest actress Ann Davies from 1956 until his death in 2013, and was the father of Big Finish actress Lucy Briers.
