Doctor Errol Courtney was a UNIT scientist stationed at a former UNIT Black Site. He was part of a team that monitored the Time Fracture in 2020.

Biography

On 17 August, Courtney was observing the Time Fracture with Dr. Evelyn Yates while Sergeant Robert Dudley made an update to the field log. (WC: 14681 UNIT Field Log)

On 18 August, Courtney updated the field log after a spike in Chronon and Arrton readings came from the Time Fracture. When Yates tried to warn him the readings were increasing again, Courtney tried to dismiss them until the Time Fracture itself spiked out energy. (WC: 14682 UNIT Field Log)

On 19 August, Courtney updated the field log on the anomalies escaping the Time Fracture, and then monitored Dudley's mission to enter the Time Fracture, but was unable to do anything when he disappeared. (WC: 14683 UNIT Field Log) He and Yates were unable to contact Dudley into the following day, but did receive a message from the Doctor, who gave them a list of people who could volunteer to enter the Time Fracture, codenamed Operation: Time Fracture. Using Jack Harkness's Vortex manipulator, Courtney and Yates were able to blueprint a machine for safer passage into the Time Fracture, and sent their logs to Kate Stewart. (WC: 14684 UNIT Field Log)
