No Hot Ashes was a band local to the Powell Estate. (PROSE: Meet Rose) Sally Salter was the leader, (AUDIO: Ghosts) and Jimmy Stone played the bass guitar for the band. (PROSE: Meet Rose)
After Jimmy left the band to live with Rose Tyler in a bedsit, (PROSE: Meet Rose) the band ceased to exist, (AUDIO: Ghosts) and Salter became part of the Bad Wolf band by 2005. (PROSE: Rose)
In 2022, when Cleo Proctor and Shawna Thompson entered a sandwich shop to get a coffee, they received many telephone calls from the past, one of them being from Sally Salter, asking them if "[knew when] No Hot Ashes [was] playing". (AUDIO: Ghosts)
