"Drilling machine (The Thousand Worlds)" is a title based upon conjecture.

Check the behind the scenes section, the revision history and discussion page for additional comments on this article's title.

The abandoned vehicle. (NOTVALID: The Ninth Doctor vs the Cybermen)

Along with deceased Daleks, Time Lords, Mechanoids, and Cybermen, a drill-equipped vehicle lay as an example of "the waste and detritus" from the Last Great Time War in "a junkyard stretching across eternity". (NOTVALID: The Ninth Doctor vs the Cybermen)

Behind the scenes

Although the vehicle is not named, it is clearly the same model of drill ship used on the cover of Only the Monstrous. In the trailer for saod release, the ships were revealed to have been part of Operation Thousand Worlds. Chris Thompson confirmed this was the case after being questioned on whether it was actually the Mole from the British series Thunderbirds.[1]
