A temporal stasis field was a field of energy which could place almost all living beings inside it into a time-trance. These fields did not affect individuals who were telepathically linked to the temporal stasis machine producing the field. The Tenth Doctor, because he was a Time Lord, was also immune to these effects.

When the Cybermen attempted to take over Centuria in the 41st century they placed Centuria Central, and their base in the Triplanetary Bank, inside a temporal stasis field, using a stasis machine they had scavenged from the Torchwood Archive. (COMIC: Time of the Cybermen)
