In 4000, the First Doctor became involved with the Space Security Service's investigation into the Daleks and the Guardian of the Solar System, Mavic Chen. They uncovered a plot by the Daleks and their allies to destroy the Solar System with the Time Destructor, which was being assembled on the planet Kembel. After a long struggle, the Doctor and SSS agent Sara Kingdom managed to warn Earth and turn the Destructor against the Dalek forces on Kembel, destroying them and devastating the planet. During this time period, humanity also came into conflict with Daleks from a much later point in their history, the New Dalek Paradigm. The Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond arrived on Station 7 shortly before it was attacked by the Paradigm in their search for "the Abomination". After the death of Mavic Chen, a dynasty of his descendants persisted which slowly transformed the relatively democratic Galactic Federation into a new incarnation of the old Earth Empire. (PROSE: The Crystal Bucephalus [+]Loading...["The Crystal Bucephalus (novel)"])
Some years after the SSS' Dalek war, (AUDIO: The House of Kingdom [+]Loading...["The House of Kingdom (audio story)"]) Anya Kingdom was an active member of the SSS. Under the persona of Ann Kelso, she used experimental time travel and manipulated the Fourth Doctor to dismantle the Syndicate, the remnants of the Daleks' failed alliance, prompting him to abandon her. When she went to retrieve him, Anya encountered the Tenth Doctor who had been suddenly transported there and he agreed to help their investigation. Afterwards the Doctor attempted to use the SSS' time machine to return to his TARDIS, however a Dalek intercepted its time bubble and destroyed the machine, stranding him in this century. The Dalek Handbook claims that Operation Human Factor and the resultant Dalek Civil War on Skaro took place in the 41st century following the Time Destructor Incident, also being the point of origin of the space capsule which crashed on Vulcan prior to the 21st century. After this, the Dalek hierarchy was altered with grey Daleks replacing the silver Daleks as drones. This new version of the Dalek Empire would use time travel to go back an attempt to overwrite history in their favour; following the failure of the Time Paradox Incident, they would successfully embed themselves in the 26th century and beyond, influencing the Dalek Wars.
