Revision as of 13:12, 29 November 2022
We're not Wikipedia, where all of that information of the lead would be surely suited. We, as a Doctor Who (and it's spin-offs) Wiki, only need whatever of McGee's career is related to the DWU. Information needs to be trimmed down to around a single paragraph, preferably noticing how such credits actually impacted/relate to his DWU credits
These problems might be so great that the article's factual accuracy has been compromised. Talk about it here or check the revision history or Manual of Style for more information.
Russell McGee was a sound designer and writer for Big Finish Productions.
He also was a writer and illustrator for Pencil Tip Publishing [1] and Terraqueous Distributors.
McGee is an award-winning writer, producer, director, and sound designer. He was nominated in 2019 and 2020 for Regional Emmy Awards as a writer. He is a three-time Communicator Awards winner, a nine-time Telly Award winning writer/producer, and a 2021 Audie Award Finalist. McGee received his Master’s in TV/Film Production at Indiana University, in 2013. In 2001, he graduated with a Bachelors in Theatre and a creative writing minor from Indiana State University. In addition to this, he is a trained actor in the Meisner method. He has been producing and directing since 1993.
In 2002, he earned a scholarship to attend the W. B. Yeats International Summer School based on the merits of his full-length play "Ankhenaten & Nefertiti." In 2007, the Indiana Theatre Association awarded him the Basile Playwriting Fellowship for his ten-minute play "The Clockwork Man" and his play "Silent Cinema" won the Artsweek Playwriting Competition. In 2008, he founded his own production company, Starrynight Productions, and was the Literary Manager of the Bloomington Playwrights Project. His film "Funeral March of a Marionette" won the Best Narrative category at the Iris Film Festival in 2013. He co-created and co-wrote the web series "Silence", which won the 2013 Multivisions Multimedia Conference Best Screenwriting Award, was an official selection of the 2013 Indy Film Con, and was an official selection of the 2014 Irvine International Film Festival. Over the years many of his Doctor Who short stories have been published, including a Subscriber Short Trip for Big Finish Productions, LTD, for whom he also works as a sound designer on their range of Doctor Who full-cast audio plays.
