Lot 27 was one of the supposed alien artefacts up for auction at the Ebonite Rooms. (COMIC: The Fountains of Forever)
The Ninth Doctor found this object inside Henry Van Statten's GeoComTex vault in Utah. Adam Mitchell had thought it was a weapon, but the Doctor identified it as a hairdryer. (TV: Dalek)
It was recovered from the vault at some point before its closure, and ended up in the Ebonite Rooms. It was being sold as Lot 27 by an auctioneer as a "heat ray disintegration device". The Tenth Doctor recognised the object, again identifying it as a hairdryer. (COMIC: The Fountains of Forever)
