Porthintus was one of the salvage squad Jamie McCrimmon and the Second Doctor encountered on the World. He delighted in throwing people about. He knocked Jamie half across the corridor. He knew of the Battle of Culloden. He died when an energy beam in the system was fired into him. (AUDIO: The Wreck of the World)
