Avon was an attendant in the City.

Biography

Avon lived in the City and had no interest in seeing the rest of the planet. (TV: The Savages) He worked as an attendant to the Elders, (PROSE: The Savages) whom he trusted completely.

Avon and Flower were charged with showing Steven Taylor and Dodo Chaplet around the City, during which Avon told Steven that the people had made a discovery but declined to tell him about the transference, saying that the process was better discussed by the Elders and the First Doctor. He stopped Dodo from taking a path which led outside of the City and searched for her when she slipped away to Senta's laboratory. He and Flower reported her disappearance to Jano.

After Captain Edal found Dodo, Avon lied to her that the laboratory was only a hospital. Edal sent Avon and Flower to the Elders to answer for their negligence and Flower worried that they would be subjected to transference. Avon assured her, however, that the process was only for savages. (TV: The Savages)

Personality

Avon seemed to know everything about the City whilst Flower had to admit that her knowledge was shakier. Despite being pompous, he did his best to ensure that others endured their tours. (PROSE: The Savages)

Appearance

Avon wore spectacles. (PROSE: The Savages)
