Kriz was a member of an insectoidal species that surveyed Karn for colonisation by his over-populated world. He was pulled to the planet but survived in an ejection bubble. However, he was killed by Condo for his head to be used by Morbius but Mehendri Solon rejected it. (TV: The Brain of Morbius, PROSE: Doctor Who and the Brain of Morbius)
After he was killed, the Fourth Doctor recognised him as a Mutt. (TV: The Brain of Morbius)
