The Petaloudepta's Sweet God, which Pyke-Xi Raul called Candæmon, was an intelligence on the planet Bokuvell.
Using the insulation and electrical storage properties of sugar in different states, the Sweet God manipulated the planet's sugary atmosphere to create crystalline candies imbued with psychic data. It used these to control the native Petaloudepta, who worshipped it was a benevolent deity. In their culture, they believed the Sweet God had been judged worthy and raptured by the "Gods of Light" in their ancient history. (PROSE: Wringing Off)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

- The Sweet God's rapture by the Osirian Court was depicted in the story Lolly Eater in the anthology Wallowing in Pessimism's Mire.
